One of the most valuable experiences of FTC is auditioning for the performing arts programs of the colleges present at the conference. It is a great opportunity to practice audition techniques regardless if you plan to pursue performing arts past high school. To audition, communicate with Mrs. Timberlake well in advance of the festival so that you can be registered. Once registered, you will receive a time block and instructions on where to go. During your time block, you will perform in a room with all the attending colleges present. From there, colleges can reach out to you personally or through FTC’s Remind system. Based on your audition, colleges could offer waving of the prescreening process, scholarships, and possibly even acceptance into performing arts programs.
